One trip to the desert wasn't enough. People become passionate about this place once they discover it.
I understand now. Before coming here, I thought deserts were uninhabitable, undesirable places to visit.
I was totally wrong.
Anza-Borrego is a place of diversity - A place to go birdwatching, to seek out reptiles, to study bugs,
to stargaze, to hike, to camp, to take photographs, to be still and meditate, to marvel at the plants that
can survive in this arid environment, to look for mammals, to search for fossils....the list goes on.
